You read that right! Our new Drupal-powered monthly art contest site: MayTheBestArtWin.com.

You know you’re up for some artsy NYC flavor. Check out our latest website development project at RevelinNewYork.com — video portraits of artists, underground punk legends, rabbis, foot models, Al Sharpton… We think it’s a fresh, personal look at the city’s cool and quirky people, all powered by our custom Drupal build.

Note: Some video portraits may or may not feature people in myriad stages of undress, depending on how artsy NYC is at the moment. Yes, Al Sharpton’s is work-safe.

Our task: create a section for the Margaret Mead Film & Video Festival that fit the American Museum of Natural History website’s feel, but in a distinct fashion. To that end, we decided to go with breathing room for big, crisp images. Did we pull it off? You be the judge.

An incredibly massive project? Well, no, it’s just a few pages with a nice, crisp design… wasn’t all that overwhelming.

Did we feel humbled to be providing a service for a billion people? Ok, her site is search-engine-visible, but it really doesn’t get that kind of traffic.
